Music Therapy
What is music therapy?
Music is a universal language that has the ability to bring about significant changes on many levels, i.e. physical, emotional and spiritual. It can transform the lives of those who are isolated by pain, fear, disability and hopelessness.
Music often provides an alternative when language is inadequate, difficult, or too painful. During sessions, our professionals aim to build a framework in which a mutual relationship is established between the client and the therapist.
Therapeutic goals can be achieved and new objectives determined to help the individual cope in other areas of his/her life.
By using music in a creative manner we aim to invoke a shared musical experience which arouses and engages clients towards realizing their potential.
Music can help aid a variety of problems, which include:
Language disorders
Lack of physical coordination
Emotional disturbance
Poor motor skills
Anxiety and Depression
Sensory impairment.....
